Jay Readyhough bought Bay Realty in 1981. He was 27 years old. He had one agent. He had big dreams and a good idea of how to make them happen.
You see, Jay believed that good things would happen if he surrounded himself with good people. He reasoned that the way to guarantee long-term success was to hire people in it for the long-term. He decided that the best way to build a business that would serve the community was to hire people that were truly dedicated to that community.
He was right.

An integral part of the company since 1988, there are few things she hasn't done or can't do. Her title is Sales and Office Manager but no title can accurately describe her duties.

Having worked for real estate attorneys and architects, it was a natural transition for Betty to decide on a real estate career. She has been a full time real estate agent since the spring of 1999 and has enjoyed success representing her clients. She has lived in the South County area since 1977, raised her family here, and has a first hand knowledge of the area.
Betty is a consistent multi-million dollar producer, Certified Buyer's Representative, and has received the Circle of Excellence Award from the Kent Washington Association of Realtors.

When Jenn left New York to come to Rhode Island in 2005 for college to earn her degree in textile design and marketing, she really couldn't have imagined that she'd be living here today. The experience of living in South County was an eye opener though, and she realized that she couldn't imagine living anywhere else. She decided she wanted to make Rhode Island her home, and she never looked back. Jenn thoroughly enjoys living in South County and understands and appreciates all that it has to offer.
With many years of sales and client services under her belt and a true creative eye for interior design and staging, real estate seemed to be the perfect fit for her. Karen was raised in a real estate family in Jamestown, RI. Her Dad was a builder, Realtor, and appraiser. She graduated from the University of RI with a degree in Merchandising and Interior Design.
Karen worked in the retail industry for many years, managing stores for Disney, Gap Inc., and Ann Taylor. She won numerous awards including Best Increase in Sales Over Goal for the Disney Stores, Best of the Best for Gap, and the Rhode Island Monthly Magazine's Best Customer Service (Men's and Women's Retail Store) for Banana Republic.
A South County resident since 2004, Karen is an enthusiastic member of the community and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
